Valuing a business is
an art, not a science. That is why it is so important to hire
only Certified Valuation Analysts (CVA) who provide the most
accurate valuation possible. Our Certified Valuation Analysts
have conducted an impressive number of valuations (over 16,000)
during the past 32 years. Now that's experience! We are
proud to say that our valuations have held up to every court
challenge they have faced, including two under the scrutiny of the
World Bank.
Dovetail Business Advisors
provides valuations specific to our client's needs. If you
simply need to determine the market price of your company that you
are considering selling, and you do not need extensive
documentation, then we recommend our Limited Scope
Valuation. If your business requires an annual review or
you are seeking lender financing, we recommend our Full Scope
Valuation. In the case of pending litigation, IRS audits,
and for sellers, buyers, or lenders who are planning for the sale of
a business and need complete analysis and supporting documentations,
a Certified Valuation will be
necessary.
Your valuation experts must be experienced! Our
valuation analysts have conducted business appraisals in every
conceivable industry. They hold multiple credentials related
to appraisals, mergers and acquisitions, business brokerage, real
estate, environmental issues and taxes. They have performed
valuations for companies of all sizes, ranging in value from $50,000
to more than $700 million.
Although the majority of our business
valuations are performed for mergers and acquisitions, our analysts
have performed at least 4,000 valuations for institutional
financing, divorces, partnership buy-outs, estate planning for gift
and inheritance taxes, issues involving economic damages, and loss
of profits or bankruptcy. No one, to our knowledge, has
performed as many uncontested valuations as our Certified Valuation
Analysts.
